Joe Shuchat is a Canadian Entrepreneur with an extreme passion for sports, technology, and performance. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he has always had an affinity for helping others achieve their goals and that was no different when he founded Winning Identity, a private customizable network for teams and organizations. The software, which was entirely cloud based, was designed to improve communication and player development among college and professional sports teams. Winning Identity partnered with several large players including the Golf Channel, Home Depot, and IBM Watson. His ability to define and utilize the proper technology and build a strong development team is what allowed Winning Identity to be acquired by Blast Motion in May 2016.
In early 2018, he founded Mindful Sports Group, a sports management agency with the premise of helping athletes and entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. His first athlete, Victor Perez, he helped develop a plan and process to accelerate in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings. He has added additional golfers to his stable of players and helps each one identify strengths and weaknesses while developing a methodology for their success. He also develops technologies alongside these athletes to help them define their processes and gain success at the highest level.
He holds a Bachelor of Management degree from Dalhousie University and became a Certified Webmaster through Seneca in 2012. He is also a low single digit handicap golfer having represented Canada in several competitions internationally as well as spent two years caddying on several major professional tours including the PGA Tour.
VP of Golf Management
Brendan is the Vice-President of Golf Management for Mindful Sports Group, bringing rounded professional experience in the golf industry to his role. He joined Mindful Sports Group from the European Tour, where he helped to develop the Tour's award-winning social media content, executed the Tour’s communications strategy through a brand refresh and circled the globe, working closely with Tour’s stars.
Barrack graduated with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from The George Washington University’s prestigious School of Media and Public Affairs, where he also led the Division 1 Men’s Golf Team.
He became the youngest varsity captain in school history at 18 years of age, earning two individual wins, breaking an Atlantic 10 Conference record, and was named both an Academic All-American and an All-Northeast Region team selection.
Following graduation, he coached full-time boarding students at the Core Golf Academy in Orlando, FL alongside his close friend and former coach, Sean Foley, before turning professional and winning once.
The Toronto native is a respected industry insider, with a keen eye for talent and an understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest levels. He brings an infectious love of the sport to every position he has held since his first role as a caddie at The National Golf Club of Canada over 15 years ago.

Steven Cai was born in Guangzhou, China before moving to Canada at a young age. His fascination with technology was seen from a young age where he developed many applications as a self taught developer.
In 2012, he became a Certified Webmaster from Seneca College in Toronto, Canada. He followed that up by assisting Canadian startup Winning Identity through a successful exit to Blast Motion as the VP of cloud.
